「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」
自分が作ったオリジナル選手だけを操作し、チームの一員としてプロサッカー選手の人生を体験できるモードです。
試合を重ねて成長し、世界最高の選手を目指します。試合での活躍によって、強豪クラブへの移籍や代表チームへの招集の可能性もあります。
チーム全員ではなく、オリジナル選手1人を操作するモードなので、サッカーゲームの経験がない人でも、すぐに楽しめます。

「レジェンズ」
「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」で育てた選手を使って、プレイヤー同士の協力プレー(最大4人まで)を楽しむことができるネットワーク専用のモードです。
チームワークの良さを点数で評価するので、新しい感覚でサッカーゲームを楽しむことができます。
これまでは対戦が主流だった「ウイイレ」のオンラインプレーですが、『WE2009』では、勝敗だけが目的ではなくなります。パス1本で感じられるチームメイトとの絆や、イマジネーションを共有する喜びは、これまでにない"新しいプレー体験"をもたらします。

■「UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE」モード
欧州クラブチームの頂点を決める「UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE」モードを、ついに搭載いたしました。
もちろん、アンセムや公式球、大会用ユニフォームも、ゲーム内に忠実に再現しています。
これまで数々のドラマを生み出してきた欧州最高峰の舞台を、ゲームの中でいつでも体験することができます。
